Have you claimed for your business listing yet? Be sure to claim yours soon, before all the "good" names are taken. You do need a verified Business Profile on Google My Business to claim the custom (or short) URL.

Having a (shortened) custom URL will not only make your business listing look "more professional", but you can also very easily direct customers to add a review (of your business) with a simple URL like g.page/[yourclaimedname]/review/
